I totally stole this meme from It's Almost Naptime!! because it looked like fun, and also, she could have been writing about me when she said it was a sickness, but she loves filling in forms.
Also, I'm avoiding cleaning house and thinking about family troubles. What better way than by answering a lot of unnecessary questions?

RANDOM QUESTIONS REGARDING CHRISTMAS THAT YOU ARE INVITED TO ANSWER EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE FORTY OTHER THINGS THAT YOU REALLY SHOULD BE DOING
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Both.
2. Real tree or Artificial? Definitely real. Then, after Christmas, we can have our little family tradition where we haul it out in the yard and pour gasoline on it. Gives new meaning to the song lyrics "light the Christmas tree."
3. When do you put up the tree? Oh, a week or two before Christmas.
4. When do you take the tree down? Usually about New Year's Day.
5. Do you like eggnog? No. It sort of makes me gag, for some reason.
6. Favorite gift received as a child? A box of homemade chocolate chip cookies.
7. Hardest person to buy for? My sons. They are not into wanting small junk. But the big, important, valuable things they like I can't afford.
8. Easiest person to buy for? My daughter. Earrings, and art supplies, and necklaces, and chocolate are cheaper than guns, and ammo, and sound gear, and motorcycle parts. Or computers, or camera lenses.
9. Do you have a nativity scene? One very tiny one.
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Usually neither, but sometimes I send a newsletter.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Well, one year my ten year old son received a cool multi-tool that he had been really wanting; but it turned out to be a cheap chinese knock-off, and it broke in-- I'm not kidding-- the first TWO minutes of looking at it. He was so disappointed it broke my heart. That's the worst gift I've ever received. After all, if you love my kids, you love me. If you hurt my kids, your life is in danger. (kidding. sort of.)
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? I used to like the traditional Christmas specials, you know, Charlie Brown, the Grinch, Rudolph, Frosty. But somewhere along the line they've lost their sparkle.
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? After Thanksgiving
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Not in a long time.
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Date-filled cookies.
16. Lights on the tree? Absolutely, all of them clear.
17. Favorite Christmas songs? O Come O Come Emmanuel. What Child is This.
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Stay home. We used to travel, but not much anymore.
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeers? Maybe.
20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Depends on the year. I've done both. I've also done a crown.
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? First thing Christmas morning.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Family tensions.
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? gold and red and sparkly.
24. What do you want for Christmas this year? Dark chocolate. Any of the books on my wish list at Amazon, like the Divine Hours series by Phyllis Tickle. A gift card to buy some new clothes.

Ok, here's mine.
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? It depends on the gift.
2. Real tree or Artificial?
Real. They smell so good!
3. When do you put up the tree? We'll probably put one up after we get moved in. :) A real one. We could have had "Douglas the Talking Fir" but he got rejected and taken to Goodwill. Some things aren't even worth being free.
4. When do you take the tree down? I don't know yet.
5. Do you like eggnog? Ick! No. It smells a bit like latex paint to me. It feels like it too, when you drink it. Thick, oozy.... (shudder)
6. Favorite gift received as a child?
A bike, a little yellow swiss army knife, a black hills gold locket. :) And when I was really little, a Popple.
7. Hardest person to buy for? The cousin whose name I drew this year. :( I like girl cousins better, they like girly stuff that's fun to buy.
8. Easiest person to buy for? Mom. I know her tastes.
9. Do you have a nativity scene? Not yet, but I want one someday.
10. Mail or email Christmas cards?
I don't know; I haven't thought that far. Email is cheaper.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? A shirt that was 1) ugly, 2) too small, and 3) a summer shirt in a style I don't wear. And when I took it back, I only got $1.50, because it had been gotten on sale. lol.

No debts. I'm pretty sure I'm getting everything else on my list. :)

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Gift bags or super fancy gift boxes with shadow box lids.
2. Real tree or artificial? Both! I love the scent of real, but it is hard to suspend a real tree from the ceiling.
3. When do you put up the tree? Sometime between thanksgiving and Christmas. Whenever the holiday spirit finally decides to make an entrance.
4. When do you take the tree down? Usually on New Years Day.
5. Do you like eggnog? Yes!! It is really good when you put a touch of Captain Morgans Spiced Rum... adds a bit of flavor and cuts the thickness.
6. Favorite gift recieved as a child? Can't answer this.... don't remember. Maybe a trip to Disneyworld around Christmas time... don't remember the gifts that year, but that was an amazing year for vacations.
7. Hardest person to buy for? Usually my dad.
8. Easiest person to buy for? hmmmm... people get harder to buy for each year it seems.
9. Do you have a nativity scene? No, but I like to visit live ones.
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? I might mail a few Christmas cards... email is tacky for that.. but if you get one then you really must be at the top of my list because I hate mailing things.
11. Worst Christmas gift you have ever recieved? probably some stupid gag gift at a lame Christmas party.
12. Favorite Christmas movie? Don't really have one, but I do like the Ultimate Gift and for comedy.. the one with the line "You'll shoot your eye out!"

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Since I am being honest here... lol.. yes! A knick knack of some kind. I have no use for them.

16. Lights on a Christmas tree? YES I like themes though... red and gold or crystal and blue... last year was cool, we did pastels and feathers!

18. Travel at Christmas or stay at home? Both, I prefer to be with family, so wherever they are or if they can come here.... Don't get to travel much at Christmas anymore though.. stupid job keeps me stuck here.
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and of course, Rudolph!

21. Open presents on Christmas eve or morning? Growing up we got to open one on Christmas eve.. sometimes... but generally Christmas morning.
